Devotion 7/14, I Surrender All

Grace to all who love our Lord Jesus Christ with an undying love.  Ephesians 6:24
The grace that Paul is wishing to “all who love our Lord Jesus Christ” is an incorruptible, lasting, and sincere love. True Christian love, says McDonald, “is like a flame that may flicker and grow low at times, but is never extinguished.” I love that quote! We are going to go through times in life that are difficult, there is no getting around that. But since we have the Holy Spirit inside we can maintain our joy and peace in the process through His power. Our undying love for Christ can still be central in our life and hearts instead of our problems. We know from Scripture that God will never leave us or forsake us (Hebrews 3:15), and that His intent is to prosper us, not to harm us (Jeremiah 29:11). Knowing this should give us peace in the midst of chaos, joy in the midst of sadness, and love for God always!
Holy Father, forgive me when my display of my passion for You dims or my communication of his grace to others lags. Rekindle an unquenchable desire to show my love for Jesus in everything I do and say. In his name, I pray. Amen.

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
