Devotion 7/21, Thank You Jesus

There is not a righteous man on earth who does what is right and never sins.
Ecclesiastes 7:20
This verse goes hand in hand with Romans 3:23:
Romans 3:23-24
“…for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that came through Jesus Christ.”
This passage, as well as many others in God’s Word states very plainly that ALL have sinned. This is a hard truth to swallow for some, but it is true none the less.
From Philip Ware:
Yep, we’re all broken, flawed, and tainted (Romans 3:9-11, 23-24). Or, at least, that is what we were before God saved us, the Spirit sanctified us, and Jesus brought us into his family (1 Corinthians 6:9-11). Praise God! Praise God because of his grace. Praise God for the work of Jesus. Praise God for the presence of the Holy Spirit. Because of these, we can stand before God holy, without blemish, and free from accusation (Colossians 1:22).
Thank You Jesus for dying for my sins, I am so thankful for the grace and mercy that You bestow on me every day. Thank You for rescuing me from myself and making me a child of God. I praise Your Holy Name this day, Amen.

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
