Devotion 8/19, Do we recognize God’s work in this world today?

After Jesus had raised the son of the widow from Nain: Those in the crowd who saw this were all filled with awe and praised God. “A great prophet has appeared among us,” they said. “God has come to help his people.”
Luke 7:16
Jesus came to do God’s work. He came as the Son of God, God incarnate in human flesh (John 1:14-18). He came to reveal God. Jesus came, and many people praised God. He came so people could see God. Do we know Jesus? If we do, do we know him as well as we should? As Luke reminded us in this event, when people saw Jesus at work in our world, they said: “God has come to help his people.” Let’s look for God at work in our world today and invite him to use us to manifest his presence!
Acts 16:31
Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.
John 5:24
“Truly, truly. I say to you. Whoever hears My word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.”
Wonderful Lord Jesus, thank You for coming to this world to bleed and die for my sins! Thank You for loving me to the point of death. I know I did nothing to deserve Your love but am ever so thankful that You loved me first! I give You all praise, honor, and glory this day, Amen!
To all who received this message, I dedicate this song to you!

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
