Devotion 8/20, I Cast All My Cares Upon You

Jesus taught his disciples, saying: “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?”
Matthew 6:25
The key is balance. Work, or anything else for that matter, should not be first in our hearts. God is to be first in our lives, He is to be at the center of all that we say and do. God can be served where you work. More than likely you work around some unsaved people. Be an example of Christ to them each day. God may have you in the job you are in right now because someone you work with needs to hear the gospel, needs to see the love of Christ lived through your life! When we as God’s children go where He leads we need not worry about anything, for He will work all things out for our good and His purposes!
Lord, thank You for Your excellent care of me. You are such a wonderful Provider and Sustainer. Help me to not worry over things in this life, help me to cast my cares on you (1 Peter 5:7), and live my life according to Your perfect will for me. I give You all praise, honor, and glory this day, Amen!

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
