Devotion 8/23, My Father’s Arms Are Holding Me

When Daniel was alarmed by his visions of the future, he approached one of those standing by him in his visions. The presence told Daniel: “But the saints of the Most High will receive the kingdom and will possess it forever — yes, for ever and ever.”     Daniel 7:18
There can be no misunderstanding here, and in many other passages in Scripture. Those who have placed their faith in Christ Jesus (saints) will be in heaven (the kingdom) forever! Praise God!
This is echoed by Jesus Christ Himself in John 10: “I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can take them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; no one can take them out of My Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.”
This is one of my very favorite passages of Scripture in the whole Bible. There is no mistaking that there is eternal security for every true believer in Jesus Christ. Many false teachers will try and twist God’s Word to tell us we can lose our salvation, but this, along with other verses in Scripture, assure us that once we are His children through faith in His blood for the forgiveness of our sins, Jesus says that “no one can take them from My Father’s hand”, we can believe Him!
Thank You Jesus for Your finished work of redemption for me on the cross at Calvary. Help me to be attentive to Your Holy Spirit and to live my life in obedience to Your Word and You will for Your glory. I praise You this day my Redeemer and Prince of Peace, Amen!

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
