Devotion 9/25, Only In Christ Alone!

And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you.
Romans 8:11
When we believe in Christ, and by doing so place our faith and trust in Him as our Lord and Savior, the Holy Spirit of God comes to dwell in us. This is the mark of God Almighty on us, it is our guarantee from God that we are joint-heirs with Christ (Romans 8:17). We are now God’s possession, we belong to Him through our faith in the blood of Christ, no more do we belong to satan and this world, but we have been transformed (2 Corinthians 3:18) to God’s child and a citizen of heaven (Philippians 3:20). The old is gone, behold the new has come (2 Corinthians 5:17)!
When we are with God in heaven one day, we will fully grasp the magnitude of our redemption. We can understand it to a certain degree now, but when we are face to face with our Redeemer it will be a full awareness of all that we have been saved from and just how much love He has for us. Have You praised and thanked Him today? He is so very deserving of our continual thanksgiving and praise!
O God and Father of all nations and races, thank you for your Spirit who is my guarantee that you will raise me from the dead and empowers me right now. As I look forward to that great day, I know I will join Jesus in your presence forever. So, dear Father, I praise you in Jesus’ name, and by the power of the Holy Spirit, I thank you as I anticipate that great day and live for you today. Amen.

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
