Devotion 9/26, God is with us!

The Lord was with Joseph” (Genesis 39:2)
Joseph goes from being a forgotten prisoner in the pharaoh’s dungeon to the prime minister of Egypt. So, what happened? Joseph speaks of truth (God) all the time. He does not care about what the local polytheists might think. He does not calculate whether emphasizing his commitment to God would help or hurt his career. He does not consider that the pharaoh, who had plenty of gods, would be offended by Joseph emphasizing that there is one God who is responsible for everything.
Our guidance comes from Genesis 39 where no matter his circumstances, Joseph just speaks the truth of God, clearly and consistently.
Speak God’s truths confidently and publicly.
Being saved by Grace and children of God, sanctification has to flow from each of us that others will know His truths. The story is written, we know the outcome.
The key to Joseph’s godly behavior is the fact that “The Lord was with Joseph” (Genesis 39:2). If we believe the Lord is with His people, then we should be strong in all circumstances and speak only God’s truths, clearly and consistently, for God is with us!
Lord, I pray we only speak your truths, undiluted, all the time and in every circumstance. I pray for your people, that from knowing you are with us we will be strong in our conviction to only speak Your Truths. Thank you for your love, grace and mercies, Amen.

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
