Devotion 10/7, Trust in You Lord
I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. Romans 8:18
No one gets through this life without hardships and sufferings. Jesus even forewarned His followers that this would happen (John 15:18). James 1:12 tells us we are to remain steadfast under our trials in life. And Romans 12:12 says to be patient in troubles and constant in prayer.
There are many Scriptures that tell us of the problems we will face in this life. But the key is how we react to them? If our mindset is that of Christ, we will fully understand that even though life is hard sometimes it is nothing compared to the glory that is to come for every child of God!
This brings to mind 1Peter 1:13:
Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at His coming.
When we as God’s children approach this world we live in, we are to have minds that are focused on Christ and are therefore self-controlled, strong, composed, cool, and ready for action!
Thank You Jesus for forgiving my sin through the shedding of Your pure and innocent blood for me on the cross at Calvary. Thank You for the hope that is mine because I have placed my faith in You. Thank You for loving me and for never leaving or forsaking me, I give You all praise, honor and glory this day, Amen!
