Devotion 10/22, Don’t Stop Praying!

If a man is lazy, the rafters sag; if his hands are idle, the house leaks.   Ecclesiastes 10:18
The bible has much to say about laziness and the damage it can cause to anything it touches. We would all agree that if you own a house and property it needs a lot of upkeep. Much time and money is spent each year on keeping our possessions up. But what about our relationship with God and others? Those are even more important to attend to than the upkeep of our material things!
There’s nothing more important than your relationship with God. That relationship makes you a better spouse, parent, friend, and disciple for His kingdom!
Listen to Him through His Word, and “Don’t Stop Praying”!
Lord help us to be diligent and not let ourselves become lazy. It is a tool of Satan and should be treated as such!
Proverbs 16:27
Idle hands are the devil’s workshop; idle lips are his mouthpiece.
Father God, thank You for loving me and for sending Jesus to die for my sins! I pray that You keep me from ever becoming lazy and put a fire in me to do Your will in word and action while I walk this earth. I give You all glory this and every day, Amen!

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
