Devotion 11/6, God is in Control!

See, I am doing a new thing!   Isaiah 43:19
For many people, problems in the world and in our lives can feel overwhelming. We find ourselves asking, “Will things ever be fixed”?
In Isaiah 43, God speaks to his people as they struggle with feeling that way. They are in exile, and their country is in ruins. In despair, they are thinking it will never be fixed. But God declares, “See, I am doing a new thing! . . . Do you not perceive it?” We are reminded that God is in control and is at work doing something new, and he invites us to join him.
We are not to turn or heads and ignore what Satan is doing in this world but we are to focus on spreading the good news and recognizing the “good” new things God is doing.
Lord of all, thank you for the new things you are doing in our world. Please give us eyes to see what you are doing today, and help us to notice all that you are making new in our lives! In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
