Devotion 11/22, The Wisdom and Understanding of Our God

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.   Proverbs 9:10
When we know Christ we are given understanding of God and His Word through the indwelling Holy Spirit of God that we received upon salvation. We know that every single thing in the Bible is absolute truth! There is no need to look to false gods for peace and revelation of things, because we know the only true God. And even more than that, He is our Father through Jesus Christ! As MacDonald puts it, “A true believer in God can see more on his knees than others can see on their tiptoes.”
There are many noble and beneficial fields of academic pursuit. However, as today’s Scripture reminds us, true wisdom and the greatest understanding can be found in only one place, a reverential knowledge of God and the acknowledgment of his will with our obedience in all of our ways!
Thank You Father God for opening my eyes to the truth of You and Your Word. Thank You for sending Jesus, Your one and only Son to die for my sins and redeem me to You. I give thanks for your wisdom and understanding. I give thanks for your mercies, blessings, grace and unending love. I give You all praise and glory this day Father, Amen!

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
