Devotion 12/15, In God’s Shadow

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” A shadow is only possible in the presence of light. Psalm 91:1-2
In God’s shadow” refers to the idea of fully committing oneself to God’s plan, even when facing difficult or uncertain times, finding comfort and protection in God’s presence, much like finding shelter under a literal shadow, signifying that even in darkness, God’s protection remains constant; this concept is often drawn from Psalm 91:1, which says “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.”
Dwelling in God’s will means actively aligning one’s actions and decisions with what God desires, trusting that His plan is always best, even when it’s not fully understood.
Holy Father, I want to submit and surrender myself completely and unreservedly in every area of my life to you, Almighty God. Your will for me is always my best.  I desire to fully put my trust in You and relinquish my will for Yours.
In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
