Devotion 12/19, Renew Me Oh Lord

For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. 2 Corinthians 4:16
One of the best aspects of spending time alone with God is being renewed daily by his word and presence. Lamentations 3:22-23says, “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness”. When we make space for God in our lives, especially at the beginning of the day, he is faithful to renew and prepare us for all we will face out in the world.
Where do we need renewal? How greatly do we need God’s mercies in our lives? May God teach and guide us into daily renewal as we make space every morning for him to fill.
Lord, let our faith be stirred to encounter you today. We earnestly desire to meet with You without any fear or reservation that we won’t experience Your renewal. And Lord, may I praise and give thanks for you to for your unbelievable goodness.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
