Devotion 12/26, Holy Integrity

Truthful lips endure forever, but a lying tongue lasts only a moment.  Proverbs 12:19
Most of us know treacherous and deceitful people in this life. Many times it seems that they get away with their lies and treacherous acts towards us and others, but they will not get away with it forever! They are destined for eventual destruction.
So, when we have to encounter people such as this, Lord help us to guard our hearts and instead of hating them, look on them with pity, for they are headed for a life of destruction. And if they have never accepted Christ as Savior, an eternity in hell.
Holy and Righteous Father, please forgive me for lying, exaggerating, and withholding the truth when the truth needs to be told. I want my heart and my lips to be invested in forever — your forever — so please help me as I seek to tell the truth with holy integrity. In the name of Jesus, I ask for your help. Amen.
May the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be pleasing to you Lord.

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
