Devotion 12/28,  Our Living Hope

Life is more than food, and the body more than clothes.  Luke 12:23
God will always supply all our needs, not always our “wants”. But always our needs (Philippians 4:19). He is a good Father and takes excellent care of His children through faith in Christ (Matthew 7:11)! God has blessed me more times than I can count. When I ask Him for wisdom, He always comes through, and He is always right!
So, Lord help us to be as concerned about spending time with God and giving our time, talent and money to His work on this earth, as we are about feeding ourselves and accumulating possessions. Our main purpose for being alive is to further His Kingdom here and now!
Father God, thank You for always taking such good care of me. Thank You for sending Jesus to die for my sins (my greatest need)! Help me to keep You at the center of all I do each day Father. I give You all praise, honor and glory this day, Amen!

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
