Devotion 1/19, Trust in God!

Stop trusting in man, who has but a breath in his nostrils. Of what account is he? Isaiah 2:22
I am always amazed at those in our world who claim to know the “truth”, yet do not. God’s Word is truth, every single word in it is fact, not theory, the world teaches it’s theories as fact and God’s facts as theory! As God’s children we must be cautious of what we believe, everything must be filtered through God’s Word. For example our public schools teach the “big bang theory” and evolution as fact, this is a lie for God says in His Word that He created the earth and us (Genesis chapters 1&2).
While there are many who are very godly and helpful to us, if what they are teaching is not in line with God’s Word then we are to reject it. In short, God and His Word, the Bible, are the final Authority in the life of every true child of God. Mankind is fallible, God is not! So, who are you going to place your trust in?
Lord, thank You for opening my eyes to Your truth. Thank You for loving me and for sending Jesus to this earth to die for my sins. I pray that You help me to always place my trust in You for everything in my life, for Your glory Father, Amen!

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
