Devotion 1/22, How Great Thou Art!

You were shown these things so that you might know that the Lord is God; besides him there is no other.  Deuteronomy 4:35
God is present and actively working in our lives. He wants us to know that he is the Lord our God—in the past, present, and future. We praise God for letting us know him through his words, nature, works, and especially through his Son, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit.
Where or when are you drawn into the awesomeness of God and reminded that the Lord is God and there is no other? For me a sunrise, a sunset, gazing at the stars, the miracles of medicine and my family of faith remind me of our God’s awesomeness. And I often find myself humming or singing “How Great Thou Art,” “In Christ Alone,” and “He Is Lord.”
O God of wonders, I am in awe of you. I praise you that you are God and there is no other. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
