Devotion 2/1, Footsteps Walking With Me
“And now, O Lord, for what do I wait? My hope is in you”. Psalm 39:7
There’s a storm brewing, the wind is howling; but the little bird is asleep in the crevice of the tree, its head serenely under its wing, sound asleep. That is peace—to be able to sleep in the storm! In Christ, we are relaxed and at peace in the midst of the confusion, bewilderments, and perplexities of life. The storm rages, but our hearts are at rest. We have found peace—at last!
In this verse, David is expressing his hope in God as his only hope.
Thank You, dear Lord, for the hope we have in Your abiding love, which surrounds us. You are with us always. Thank you for your love, blessings, mercies and grace. All glory and honor are Yours, Amen.
