Devotion 2/10, All Hope is in the Lord!

Happy is he . . . whose hope is in the Lord his God.    Psalm 146:5
Happy is the man who has learned the secret of coming to God in daily prayer. Fifteen minutes alone with God every morning before you start the day can change circumstances and remove mountains! But all of this happiness and all of these unlimited benefits which flow from the storehouse of heaven are contingent upon our relationship to God. We do not come to know God through works—we come to know God by faith, through grace. We cannot work our way toward happiness and heaven, we cannot moralize our way, we cannot reform our way, we cannot buy our way. It comes as a gift from God through Christ.
Thank You, heavenly Father, for the gift of joy which comes from knowing Your Son, Jesus Christ. We give thanks for the happiness and hope that comes from our personal relationship with Your Son, Jesus Christ.  All praise, honor and glory are yours Father, Amen. All hope is is in the Lord!

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
