Devotion 2/12, The Love of God

And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. Romans 5:5
If we were to hope for something only to find out later that it was never going to happen, our hope would be disappointed. But the hope of our salvation can never disappoint because it is based in God’s promises to His children by faith in Christ. We are confident that God will always be true to His Word for God cannot lie, God cannot fail (Titus 1:2, Hebrews 6:18, 2 Timothy 2:13)!
How can we be sure of this, because the love of God has been poured out into our hearts. When we accept Christ as Savior, our hearts are flooded with His love for us and our love for Him. No longer are our hearts empty and shallow, but they are filled to the brim with the love of Christ! The old is gone, behold the new (Ezekiel 11:19, 2 Corinthians 5:17)!
Heavenly Father, words indeed fail us to express our thankfulness and love for You. You are our very heart and breath! We are so very glad that You opened our eyes to the truth years ago. You have never failed us and never left us. Your promises are true, and Your love everlasting! We love You so Abba, and give You all praise this day, Amen!

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
