Devotion 2/20, Thank You Lord!

Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him! For if, when we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!  Romans 5:9-10
God sent Jesus Christ to this earth to shed His blood on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins. Now through faith in Christ we are justified and reconciled to God, we have gone from His enemy to His child! Quite a transformation that Jesus has brought us, isn’t it? We did absolutely nothing to deserve His mercy, it was divine love on His part for a fallen and sinful people.
Since God purchased us at such a great price, He will never let us go! We were reconciled through the death of His Son. But Jesus Christ rose from the dead and is alive right now at the right hand of God in heaven interceding for us. If His death had such power to save us, think of the power that His life has to keep us!
Thank You Lord Jesus Christ for coming to this world and shedding Your innocent blood for our sins so that we can spend eternity with You. Thank You for the seal of the Holy Spirit on our souls. Thank You for all Your wonderful care and keeping, and for Your never ending love for us. We give You all praise, honor, and glory this day, Amen!

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
