Devotion 2/28, Seek To Be The Good Seed!

Not so the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away.   Psalm 1:4
Which do we want to be? A strong tree planted by the living water, which is Jesus Christ and be eternally nourished. Or the chaff, which is useless and always being blown away by every passing wind, only to be burned in the end? Don’t be the chaff!!
For the ungodly in our world, nothing they do is of any lasting value. They think they are so very wise, and according to mankind’s thinking, they may be. But to God they are fools:
Romans1:21-22
For although they (the ungodly or wicked) knew of God, they neither glorified Him as God nor gave thanks to Him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they instead became utter fools.
Father, please help us resist the temptation to idolize and exalt those who succeed through evil devices, schemes, methods, and plans. Strengthen our hearts to be the good seed and to sow the good seed to grow your kingdom. We ask the Holy Spirit to guide our hearts as we seek your Kingdom and righteousness above all other things. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
