Devotion 3/14, Where is Your Family of Faith?

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together . . .Hebrews 10:25
The Bible says, “Christ loved the Church and gave Himself for it.” If our Lord loved it enough to die for it, then we should respect it enough to support and attend it. I like what Theodore Roosevelt once said, “You may worship God anywhere, at any time, but the chances are that you will not do so unless you have first learned to worship Him somewhere in some particular place, at some particular time.”
I give thanks everyday, for my church and my “family of faith”, but being in His Holy House to worship with brothers and sisters in Christ is the highlight of my week.
Down through the years, beloved Lord, Christians have met to worship You. Thank You that I am a part of this your blessed family.
May Your word and message refresh us every time we gather to worship, that we go out and build your kingdom by what we say and do. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
