Devotion 3/21, The Armor of God!

So use every piece of God’s armor to resist the enemy whenever he attacks, and when it is all over, you will still be standing up.
Ephesians 6:13
Billy Graham: “Daniel and his companions were tempted to forsake their godly heritage, but they refused. They even faced a fiery furnace rather than compromise. God honored their faith and mightily used them. Moses was surrounded by the luxury and godlessness of the Egyptian court, but cast in his lot with his own people. Lot lived in Sodom and saw the obscenities of that doomed city. God saved him out of it because he trusted in Him. Every one of our Lord’s apostles sealed their faith with their lives. Since then, history has been replete with the lives of men who have put God and His way of life above all else.”
In my normal day, I have to make a conscious effort to remind myself, numerous times, that the way of this world is of sin and Satan. If I  focus on the ways of this world, I lose focus on God’s kingdom. I need the Armor of God for my daily battles with evil. His Holy Spirit, His Word and Jesus’ Christ are the armor I must lean on for battle today.
Father God, help me to stand by faith in You, when I am tempted, almighty God. Stir my soul that I’ll be a faithful servant to You and Your kingdom, especially when the evil one puts temptation in my pathway. I pray for your protection and strength to deny Satan. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
