Devotion 3/22, Crossing The Bridge From Death To Life

“Whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and . . . has crossed over from death to life.”. John 5:24
The “bridge between life in Christ and sin” is Jesus Christ himself; his sacrifice on the cross acts as the means to cross the chasm created by sin, allowing individuals to move from a life separated from God to a life in fellowship with him through faith in Jesus.
We are sinners by nature, but accepting Christ as our personal Savior, repenting our sins and having daily fellowship with Him through his Word and Prayer, our hearts change and our faith in Him leads to life.
Jesus spoke in the past tense, saying, “has crossed over”—and this means that we already have eternal life right now through faith in Jesus.
Lord Jesus, strengthen our faith to trust in you alone to bring us from death to life, and please give us the assurance of eternal life today. In your name, Amen.

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
