Devotion 3/23, Salvation, Thank You Jesus!

The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 6:23

Wages must be paid, they’re not optional. And death is the required wage, or result, of sin. Gifts, however, are optional. The giver can opt to give—and once a gift is offered, a person can opt to receive it or not. God offers eternal life through Christ and his death on the cross.

Lord, there are people around us who need you. Help us to explain your salvation to them in a simple, clear way. Amen.

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
