Devotion 4/4, Make Me A Servant

I thank my God every time I remember you.
Philippians 1:3
We all have those people in our life that every time we think of them, a smile comes to our face, and a warm feeling comes to our hearts.
Well, Paul was no different from us in that respect. He had met and ministered to hundreds of people at this point in his life, and this church at Philippi gave him reason to thank God for them. He loved these folks as family and cherished his fond memories of them. They were a joyful group and were a great encouragement to Paul!
Why was Paul thinking of them at this time? He was in jail in the city of Rome and I am sure could have become quite discouraged by his surroundings. But not Paul, nope, he refused to give satan the victory, so instead he started to think of those in his life that loved him and were always a comfort to his heart!
What an awesome example Paul is for us when Satan is knocking on our door.
Loving Lord, thank you for the precious people you have brought into our lives. They have blessed our lives and done it in so many ways. Please bless their lives with your grace, power, and Spirit. In Jesus’ name, we thank you for these precious people. I Seek to be your humble servant and to bless others in your name. Amen.

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
