Devotion 4/24, He Died For Me, A Sinner

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.   Romans 5:8
So often it is thought or said, “I cannot understand how God could forgive me. I have been such a wicked sinner. I just cannot understand the love of God.”
As we stand at the cross of Christ we see a glorious exhibition of God’s love. Paul wrote to the Christians in Rome, “While we were powerless to help ourselves . . . Christ died for sinful men.” In human experience, it is a rare thing for one man to give his life for another, even if the latter be a good man, though there have been a few who have had the courage to do it. Yet the proof of God’s amazing love is this: that it was “while we were sinners Christ died for us.”
Paul once exclaimed, “He loved me and gave Himself for me!”
Lord, it is beyond comprehension the love that took You to the cross for me. Humbly I praise and thank You, my Savior and my Lord. I pray today I might witness to a lost, hurting person of your amazing love and grace that saved me, a sinner. In Your name I pray, Amen.

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
