Devotion 4/25, Seek His Face

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.   2 Chronicles 7:14
While this verse is addressed to Israel, and arguably the best known from the Chronicles, it also pertains to any country that obeys God even today. God Himself, speaking to Solomon, tells us what He expects from countries that roam the earth He created. As Christians we should pray for the nations of this world to return to the God that loves them and created them!
As children of God through faith in Jesus Christ, we are also “called by His name”, we bare the name of Jesus on us and are to act accordingly. Our ways are not to be wicked or worldly (Romans 12:2, 2 Corinthians 6:17), and we are to humble ourselves before God, submitting to His Word and obeying Him in all things (Romans 12:1). We are to pray and seek His face.
Thank You, thank You Abba Father for all that You have done and still do for me. You are so amazing and I am so blessed to call You my Lord and my God. I give You all the praise and glory that You so richly deserve this day, Amen!

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
