Devotion 5/9, Seek His Wisdom

Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show it by his good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom.
James 3:13
Mankind does not have to be taught how to be selfish, prideful, or disobedient, that is the natural nature of human beings outside of Christ.
In God’s eyes when pride, arrogance, selfishness, envy, and strife are present, this signals foolishness and evil in a person’s life. These characteristics have no part of God, they come from satan himself!
This world’s take on what is considered wise and God’s definition of wise are completely different. Society dictates that to be wise you must be highly educated, the better your college degree, the more wise you are. But in God’s economy true wisdom comes solely from Him, for He is wisdom. His Word the Bible is packed with wisdom and truth for all who will receive it!
O Father, make me wise like Jesus. Please help me know your will more fully and live it more faithfully with kindness and humility, especially toward the lost, outcast, stumbling, broken, forgotten, and alone. May the words of my mouth and the actions of my life please you and bring your grace to others. In Jesus’ name, I ask for your help in being the kind of person you desire, Father. In Christ’s name, Amen.

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
