Devotion 5/16, God’s Sovereignty Brings Peace

Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.  Psalm 46:10
In moments of uncertainty and chaos, finding peace in the assurance of God’s sovereignty is a source of strength and comfort. Whatever our life circumstances may be, God is in control, guiding our paths and working out his perfect plans.
We are reminded to be still and to acknowledge that the Lord is God. His authority transcends all challenges. He is exalted above every situation. And in this we can find peace.
In times of turmoil or when facing the unknown, trusting in God’s ultimate control brings a deep sense of peace. Knowing that his purposes prevail. His promises endure, give hope and reassurance.
Drawing peace from God’s sovereignty means surrendering our worries, fears, and desires into his capable hands. In faith we can rest in the truth that God works all things together for our good (Romans 8:28).
As we navigate life’s uncertainties, let’s anchor our hearts in God’s sovereignty. May his peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, thank you for your sovereignty over all things. Give us peace in knowing you are exalted above every situation. Strengthen our faith and trust in you. Amen.

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
