Devotion 5/17,  How much do we trust the Lord?

Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun.  Psalm 37:5-6
How much of ourselves have we entrusted to the Lord? God chooses to release blessings according to His time, His plan, and our trust in him and our asking of him. As long as we grip the steering wheel of our lives, it is hard to let God take us in the direction of His blessings and His will. Remember the bumper sticker, “If God is your co-pilot, then you had better switch seats!” Committing our way to the Lord is offering our lives to him to do his work, to receive his blessing, and to know his presence.
Almighty God, everything is yours except the hearts of stubborn men and women who will not release their will to you.  All we have of value has come from you, so please use all of each of us to bring you glory. We invite you to drive the direction of our lives. We ask your Word and the Holy Spirit guide us today in all we say and do, to trust in you Lord. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
