Devotion 5/29, My Hope Is Built On Nothing Less

I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.  Romans 8:18
No one gets through this life without hardships and sufferings. Jesus even forewarned His followers that this would happen (John 15:18). James 1:12 tells us we are to remain steadfast under our trials in life. And Romans 12:12 says to be patient in troubles and constant in prayer.
There are many Scriptures that tell us of the problems we will face in this life. But the key is how we react to them? If our mindset is that of Christ, we will fully understand that even though life is hard sometimes it is nothing compared to the glory that is to come for every child of God!
Oh, what a blessed assurance we have in Christ, we can trust Him fully! I love the words of this hymn, “My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness.” And how very true that is!
Thank You Jesus for forgiving my sin through the shedding of Your pure and innocent blood for me on the cross at Calvary. Thank You for the hope that is mine because I have placed my faith in You. Thank You for loving me and for never leaving or forsaking me, I give You all praise this day, Amen!

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
