In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God’s will.

Romans 8:26-27

Sometimes when we pray we are at a loss for the right words that will express our hearts. I know that when grieving at times that we do not know just how to express our sorrow to God. There are also times when we are so overjoyed that we cannot put into words all the joy that our hearts feel at that moment! And then there are those times when we are asking God for an answer to a decision that we need to make and we just don’t know quite how to word our request. Thanks be to God we do not have to say some magic formula of a prayer for God to know just exactly what we mean to say, the Holy Spirit intercedes for us and expresses our heart to God correctly!

When the Holy Spirit interprets our prayers and relays them to God they are always in accordance to God’s will and are always for our good. God’s will be done! Pray!

Thank You Father God for Your precious Holy Spirit that You have bestowed on all who place their faith in You. Help me to always be sensitive to His leading and to bring You glory all the days of my life.  Amen!
