Devotion 5/31, He Paid it All

It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God — that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption.  1 Corinthians 1:30
All that we are and have comes from God.
First of all we have access to His wisdom. I pray for wisdom from God and His Word nearly every day.
Secondly, He is our righteousness. Through faith in Christ we are declared righteous before our holy God.
Thirdly, He is our holiness. In ourselves we have nothing, no personal holiness at all. But in Him we are positionally sanctified or set apart for Him!
And finally, He is our redemption. We are redeemed to God through the precious blood of Christ.
God arranged it that all these blessings come from Him, so why would we boast in anything of ourselves, we had nothing to do with it, it is all Christ Jesus and HIS work on the cross for us! As we walk our faith journey today, let us be reminded, for a child of God everything begins and ends at the cross.
Thank You Father God for sending Jesus to atone for my sins and redeem me to You! I pray that my life shows You in all I say and do is for Your Glory Abba. Amen!

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
