Devotion 6/6, GOD’S WILL FOR ME TODAY!

The four steps “I” need to follow to start each day:
‘Abide in Him’. Focus on my relationship with God. That always comes first, thru prayer and His Word.
‘Wait’, to see where God is working. Then join Him, when He invites you.
‘Trust’ in God alone. Don’t over plan, and don’t trust your plans. More times than not, my plans are selfish, the opposite of God’s plan for me.
‘Give thanks’, in all things. God is always working, for His glory and your good.
In everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
1 Thessalonians 5:18
Lord, I pray for self-discipline to keep my focus on you and your kingdom. I ask for the Holy Spirit’s guidance in my life, to serve you in all I say and do. I lift You up, my Savior and Redeemer. Thank you for so many blessings, your mercies, your love and such amazing grace. There’s Your Blessed Assurance and Your Amazing Grace, but in my heart I’m singing How Great Thou Art today! In Your name I pray, Amen.

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
