Devotion 6/9,  We Must Shine Our Light!

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Matthew 5:16
Tom Allan, Scotland’s famous young preacher, was brought to Christ while a black soldier was singing, “Were You There When They Crucified My Lord?” He said it was neither the song nor the voice, but the spirit in which that soldier sang—something about his manner, something about his sincerity of expression—that convicted him of his wicked life and turned him to the Savior. Our faith grows by expression. If we want to keep our faith, we must share it—we must witness.
Our story should reflect the resurrection and God’s kingdom, where the soul never dies!
May others be drawn to You, Lord Jesus, as i tell them of Your love. Lord, strengthen my knowledge and conviction to effectively share my faith through your Holy Spirit. I pray when you speak, I not only hear You, but I listen.  And I pray my eyes are open and I see Your works in action around me.  For Your Kingdom I pray, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

About Mike & Marcia

I started this journey trying to help someone that had reached out during some troubled times they were dealing with personally.
Turns out in the process I had to deal with my own anger and disappointment with the situation. I prayed for guidance which lead me to giving it up to Christ. It helped me help them writing a daily devotional and in the process I realized my own devotions were lacking. It's now my daily routine. I pray if nothing else it helps to focus on our God of grace if only for a moment for everyone that read them.
I do take requests and any comments.
